VOXOA DJ controller

To be honest, I have never heard of this company before. VOXOA. I know for a fact that it is a company from China that is making everything from controllers to turntables, mixers, USB audio interfaces, DJ CD players and the list goes on. Quite interesting this is but I want to concentrate on this particular C60 controller.

I came upon this controller fairly recently.  It looks like it was made by a company called Hanpin Taiwan. There are lots of controllers in the market now, made by so many manufacturers. Even Behringer is getting into the controller game so why not these people? In any case, as I said before, this is a China company. Very little is known about this controller so I will post what I can from the website.

According to the website:

The VOXOA C60 Digital Mixer and MIDI Controller – a 2-channel standalone digital DJ mixer with MIDI/HID interface and internal sound card. With an astounding amount of features, slim tabletop design and high quality sound.  Also acting as an audio interface (with a 2 in/2out stereo soundcard included)

OK…that sounds pretty basic. Most controllers are like that but let us have a look at what else this controller has to offer:

The VOXOA C60 is a REAL 2-Channel digital mixer. It is able to process audio inputs for external devices without a connection to a computer, as a dedicated mixer unit would. The C60 provide diversity input selections included Line, Phono, USB, DVS direct, Aux-in. which enable to add CD players, turntables, effects, samplers and more to you DJ setup. The C60 can operate with DVS direct mode for DJing software using vinyl or CD control time code signal. It perfectly integrates with traditional vinyl feeling and advanced software features. Under the DVS direct mode the external audio can implement effects from DJing software.

Hmmm…interesting. That is a good sell for it…redundancy. Also it is able to work with time-coded vinyl. An extra plus point. And does it come bundled with DJ software? Here is your answer:

It comes bundled with Virtual DJ LE, Audio/Video/Karaoke mixing software. The C60 is MIDI-mapable and compatible with other popular DJ programs. The unit interfaces seamlessly with Mac® OSX and Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7 operating systems.

There you go. As for specifications, this is what I managed to get from the website

l   Inputs: Line/Phone x 2 (RCA), MIC x2 (6.3mm), AUX x1, USB type B x 1

l   Outputs: Master x 2 (balanced and RCA), Booth x 1, headphone x2 (3.5mm and 6.3mm)

l   Stand-alone 2-Channel digital mixer

l   Build-in 2In/2Out (Stereo) sound card

l   High quality audio characteristics

l   Matrix inputs select for diversity inputs

l   Easy replaceable crossfader with curve adjust knob

l   Three-band EQ with Full output kill function for each channel

l   MP3 player and tablet pad friendly Aux input

l   2 MIC with level control, tone adjust and auto talkover function

l   Headphone with level control and cue mixing

l   Dual headphone jack 6.3mm and 3.5mm

l   Booth out with level adjust knob

l   Dual 10 LED monitor display (selectable PFL or Master output)

Looks pretty good. I have no idea what the sound of this thing is like, nor have I tried it out admittedly. But I do know for a fact that the Stanton DJC.4 looks exactly like it, all the way down to the lit-up logo on the top. So this Voxoa could be either an OEM or is one of the products churned out by an OEM. Voxoa-wise however, I know of a sound company that brings it in so I will go down to their showroom to check it out. I dare say that this controller will be pretty affordable, and should suit newbie DJs just fine.

    Hi, Nice post.

The Voxoa brand has very limited influence outside of Asia due to their obligations as an OEM partner with some major brands. However there is a reliable global retailer based in HK who can get one out to you in just a few days.

Also a very interesting piece of gear (which is basically a scratch DJ version of the C60 internal design) is the Voxoa M70 midi battle mixer.
