Electro-Voice ELX115P loudspeakers

I had the chance to use these Electro-Voice ELX115P powered loudspeakers last night at a gig and I must say that I am very impressed with their performance. Good, punch sound but I really would have preferred having a subwoofer to run with them. We used four of them at the gig and while I am a bit disappointed with the sound in general, I suppose that could be forgiven if we had at the very least, a good graphic equalizer to tune it to the room, something that we did not have. But EV quality just shines through. In a nutshell, these are the specifications:

Case Material    9-ply, 15mm Plywood, Internally Braced, with Texured Paint

Coverage
(Nominal -6 dB) V°    50 °
LF Transducer    (1) EVS-15K, 381mm (15”) Woofer
HF Transducer    DH-1K, 39mm (1.5”) Titanium Diaphragm Compression Driver
Crossover Frequency    1.7 k Hz
Connector Type    (2) XLR/TRS Combo Jacks, (1) Stereo RCA, (1) XLR Link Output
Grill    18GA Steel with Black Powdercoat

Depth    382 mm (15.04″)
Weight Net    24.3 kg (53.57 lbs)
Shipping Weight    29.5 kg (65.04 lbs)

No too bad but man were these things heavy! But for me, I would choose the Yamaha DXR15s over these. Personal choice
