Bought the Line 6 XD-V35 digital wireless microphone

I bought this microphone yesterday and already I am excited, just waiting to use it. The difference between this one and my AKG WMS 40 Mini is the fact that this is a digital wireless microphone. Another difference is the fact that this microphone uses 2 AA cells compared to the AKG that only uses one. You can choose up to six channels on this and the beautiful thing about it? The battery indicator is on the receiver so you can tell when the hand-held microphone is running out of juice. The specs of the wireless microphone and receiver are:

  • 275-foot extended range
  • Six channels – use up to six systems simultaneously
  • Line 6 microphone modeling (handheld systems) or EQ filter
  • Patented, 4th-generation digital wireless technology
  • Polycarbonate desktop chassis – compact, lightweight and portable
  • Dynamic microphone capsule with cardioid polar pattern
  • Robust polycarbonate body resistant to handling noise
  • Channel selector for matching the channel with the receiver
  • Interchangeable microphone capsules compatible with other industry-standard mic capsules
  • Lock mode to prevent changes during performance
  • Robust polycarbonate body – rugged and road-ready
  • Standard ¼” input for simple connectivity
  • Channel selector for easy selection of transmission channel
  • Battery LED shows battery condition
  • Power LED to indicate power on/off status

A great mic indeed, costing me about $400 Singapore dollars. I am going to try it out at an event next week. Let us see how it goes
