Amphenol XLR plugs

I have used these Amphenol plugs, soldered to the end of microphone cables, in a lot of places. They are usually rare, with people preferring the Neutrik plugs over them. One thing I do not like about them is that they are too long. Just a few weeks back, when I was supplying a sound system for a wedding event, I had to hook up a couple of singers to my mixer. Their mixer was joined to mine using a long XLR cable, terminated at either end by this plug. I had a hard time fitting this XLR at the back of my mixing desk because of the length of the thing, causing the XLR cable to bend…and I do not like that. But other than this small bugbear, they work well, like any good quality XLR jack from a reputable company does. Like I said, hey are just a bit hard to come by in Singapore. But if push comes to shove, I will use them…no questions asked
