Some pastor you are Daniel Cheo

See that dude on the left? That is Daniel Cheo Guan Beng, a pastor with Impact Life Church. Apparently, according to a report in The Straits Times, he was in an altercation of sorts with the gentleman on the right of the picture, Mr Tay Gin Beng, challenging him to a fight and calling him derogatory names. And not only that. This fella Cheo is accused of closing the older man’s van door on him, causing it to hit him on his forehead and hip.

I do not know about the rest of you but you, “Pastor” Cheo. How can you call yourself a pastor when you cannot even follow the basic tenets of The Bible? How can you preach about the Kingdom of God when you are so aggressive to an obviously older man, and not to mention hurting him? Releasing all those worship recordings and such…what is the use when you cannot even check your own-self first? You ought to be ashamed of yourself. Please do not be a hypocrite by preaching the word of God but failing to practice what you preach

Read the entire article before making any judgements – the older guy kept changing his testimony, sounds shady yes? And before calling him a ‘hypocrite’, maybe wait for the court’s verdict. What happened to ‘innocent until proven guilty’?

Mate.. this things happen to the best of us. Calling him out on one incident (though unfortunately viral) is like saying someone fucked up his whole life up because he got too drunk and pissed in public (which isn’t the case as I can be one of the sad examples). And I hear you, some people hold pastors to a higher standard of morality and principle, but underneath it all, they are only human. And for sure he’s regretting what he did but main point, I’m sure he’s a good man. Definitely has to be if he’s a pastor for a large portion of his life and a roadrager for only 15 mins of his life. So statistics tell me he can’t be that bad.
Also, if road rage was a factor, the pastor technically wasn’t at fault. As Road rage is a mental illness caused by uncontrollable tendencies to acts/ thoughts of aggression caused by genetics and its environment, so technically he couldn’t help it.
And btw, not defending what the pastor did, he should not have acted aggressively towards the defendant but on the other hand we shouldn’t be emphasising his occupation as a pastor as it only goes to show how much we put certain people on a pedestal when they are only so pathetically human and similar to all like us. So I guess judge him as you would a regular person as opposed to a higher standard that you would expect him to behave. If not, that just isn’t fair (because there isn’t separate laws for pastors, priests and other jobs that claim to be a medium for god). Hope my rant helps clear up a few issues.
