Singapore Government allows online gambling

I read Ian Tan’s post in his blog and I, like him, am outraged at this. As a matter of fact, I was really against the introduction of casinos here in Singapore in the first place and now, according to the news, the Singapore Government is going to exempt Singapore Pools and Singapore Turf Club from the “Remote Gambling Act”, which basically means, they will allow online gambling!

Oh. The Government say that the license will be given under “strict conditions” but it does not change the fact that there will be online gambling which is allowed. I detest gambling. I have seen what it does to people and I have seen more than my share of friends who ended up with broken families because of a gambling habit.

Not good I say…not good.
