Replacement of circuit breakers and RCD

One of my friends sent me this photo a few days ago. Apparently, the RCD (residual current device) in his house was very sensitive. It kept triggering for the slightest thing…even when lightning struck. So he spent quite a tidy sum replacing the RCD and the miniature circuit breakers. I told him that it was money well-spent. I told him that RCDs are electrical safety switches that remove the supply to an electrical circuit when the circuit is unsafe…a small price to pay for safety in the home

Remember to test your RCDs monthly. You see the thing with the blue switch? That is the RCD. That thing could save your life should anything happen
