HP Deskjet 3634

I am thinking of getting a new all-in-one (fax, copy, scan) machine and I was looking at this HP Deskjet 3634. I do not really need the fax function but the print and the scan function are very welcome. I very nearly got myself a new scanner some time back but I am glad that I stopped myself in time. Sure this is an inkjet printer and the cartridges are expensive. I think I can find compatible ones on the market, given half a chance. Basically, I am just looking for a cheap all-in-one and this fits the bill. This came out in 2015, almost 8 years ago. I may find some old one somewhere in a box in Mustafa if I look hard enough. I bet they will let it go for cheap!

My very first ink-jet printer, the HP 520

I know I paid a very pretty sum for my computer in 1995. It was a Pentium 90 with a 16Mb of RAM (that is megabytes, not gigabytes) and this inkjet printer, a HP 520. I remember that I did not print a lot of stuff because the ink cartridges were pretty expensive and I tried to save ink whenever I could. The lack of printing always led to my ink cartridge printing head drying up and that was a real bitch. I had to un-clog it and depending on how you fix it, it could get messy. I think after a while, I kinda abandoned it because it became expensive to run. I was without a printer for ages…at least until this Brother DCP-7055 came along. But memories they were. Everytime I see this printer online, the memories just come flooding back

Brother DCP-7055

Bought this printer/scanner in the dying hours of Comex 2011 at Suntec City for the relatively affordable price of $168. Not too bad considering I got some freebies with the device. I tested out the scanner and the TWAIN software works just fine with my Adobe Photoshop. I will be putting this device through the works these next few days to test it out but I am pretty sure that it works just fine. I have always had a high regard for Brother products and this one is no exception.
