USB charging points on buses

Some of our public buses have USB charging points and this could be useful to charge your phone, especially if you are on a long journey on some of our buses. But one needs to be cautious…the usual provisos are listed below.

One of them is “juice jacking” as I explained in a previous post here. For these USB ports on the bus. it is always useful to get yourself a USB condom to protect yourself. Yes…despite its sexual connotation, USB condoms can protect you against rogue USB ports. One can never be too safe, especially in this day and age where malware threats are rampant.
