Hybrid SIM slots on mobile phones

Many smartphones (with the exception of Apple of course) have hybrid SIM slots nowadays. Gone are the days when dual-SIM Android phones had two SIM slots AND a slot for the SD card. These hybrid slots now allow you to have either two SIM cards or one SIM card and one SD card. If you are a travelling person who buys a local SIM card in the country you visit, it would be wise to get a phone with a big internal memory, to negate having to use an SD card. That is why I bought the Xiaomi Mi A1. I do travel sometimes and I need the second slot in the phone for a local SIM card.
