Cross line rotary laser level

I have been meaning to get one of these cross-line rotary laser levelers for my box of tools. I found them to be very useful when doing marking. The beauty of this is there is a plumb line of sorts when you set it up. So the laser light remains straight, even on uneven surfaces. There are lots on the market but I am looking for a good one that will not break the bank.

Painters tape

painters tape

I used to mark things (TV outlines, containment locations) in my AV installs with one-inch masking tape. I have since changed to painters tape like this. Painters tape does not leave any residue and is easier to remove after marking. I bought a few rolls of Nippon Paint painters tape for about $5 at a hardware shop and after using it for a few times, I am now sold on it. I still have a few rolls of masking tape left over so once I finish using that to mark, I will be going full-on into painters tape like this. Also, the painters tape rolls are smaller and fit my bag much better than those rolls of masking tape.

Ingco Industrial 30cm spirit leveler

IngCo-Spirit-Level

I bought this Ingco spirit leveler online about a week back and it only just arrived at my place about two days ago. I have always said that Ingco makes good quality tools for a very cheap price. This spirit leveler will be very useful in my work when I mark stuff on walls for installs. Most of the time, I have to deal with and use whatever I find in the construction site whenever I do my measurement markings. Sometimes, the pieces of wood I find onsite are not straight. I have to rely on many markings from my measuring tape just to get a straight line. This will really help to make the marking faster and easier. It cost me less than $10. The only thing I wish it had were magnets though. A good buy nonetheless. All of us should have something like this in our arsenal of tools
