Always carry your measuring tape with you

In my line of work, I make it a practice to always carry my measuring tape with me. My old Stanley measuring tape got stolen a couple of months back so I bought this inexpensive Allways brand to replace it. It is cheaper than that Stanley brand and is much lighter too. And so far, it is holding up just as well. You can find this measuring tape in most hardware shops.

I bought this Ingco spirit leveler online about a week back and it only just arrived at my place about two days ago. I have always said that Ingco makes good quality tools for a very cheap price. This spirit leveler will be very useful in my work when I mark stuff on walls for installs. Most of the time, I have to deal with and use whatever I find in the construction site whenever I do my measurement markings. Sometimes, the pieces of wood I find onsite are not straight. I have to rely on many markings from my measuring tape just to get a straight line. This will really help to make the marking faster and easier. It cost me less than $10. The only thing I wish it had were magnets though. A good buy nonetheless. All of us should have something like this in our arsenal of tools

When you work in construction, it is always recommended that you use good quality tools. The tools need to be built tough to survive the rigours of construction use. That is why I swear by this Stanley measuring tape. It is built tough and can handle a lot of abuse. I have used it for some other duties it was not designed for, such as pulling cable under a false floor once. It has been to many project sites with me, has been bashed against by trolleys, boxes and whatever that came its way and it still going strong. Just like all quality tools out there, it may cost a little more but you know that it is worth it in the end.
