Moderna suing Pfizer and BioNTech
I read the news yesterday that Moderna is suing Pfizer and BioNTech for patent infringement. Apparently, Moderna said that the mRNA technology it developed before the pandemic was copied by Pfizer and BioNTech. This is going to be very interesting news for these two giants who are creators of anti-Covid vaccines. Let us see how it turns out. You can read about it here.
Singapore contributing Covid-19 vaccines to Malaysia
I read this article in Channel News Asia that Singapore is contributing Covid-19 vaccine doses to Malaysia. Malaysia is in a bad state with many Covid-19 cases daily. This move by Singapore shows that we are all in this together and we always need to help our neighbours whenever we can. Let’s hope that the case numbers in Malaysia come down soon. It is very heartbreaking to hear of people succumbing and dying from this terrible virus.
First shipment of Covid-19 vaccines arrive in Singapore
The first batch of the Pfizer-BioNTech Covid-19 vaccine has landed in Singapore yesterday evening. The vaccine was carried by a Singapore Airlines (SIA) Boeing 747-400 freighter, as can be seen in the picture above. Ground handler SATS moved the vaccines to its cold chain facility before they were loaded onto a refrigerated truck that will send them to an external storage facility. The vaccination will be voluntary and Prime Minister Lee has encouraged Singaporeans to take it. Maybe I will take it or maybe I will not. Still have to make that decision.
