I have been looking for this Draper Expert combination pliers for some time now but they do not ship it to this part of the world. A search on Amazon shows that they have been sold out all over. This tool is steel hardened and tempered with cutting edges that have been separately induction hardened. plus, the shape of head and handles allows access to difficult working areas. And now to the real gravy. The pliers have the following functions: flat cutter on the tip of the head for use on cable ties; wire stripper 1.5 and 2.5mm wire; diagonal cutter for medium hard wire (3.5mm), hard wire (2.5mm) and piano wire (2mm); crimper for terminals 1.5 and 2.5mm; pattress screw cutter for M3.5 and M4 screws and wire looping device on underside of pliers for looping wire for plug screws/terminals. So as you can see, one device, many functions. Just what I need. I will still keep looking for it. I might get lucky.

My sister moved into her own house but I noticed that she does not have a toolkit around the house. So I thought that I would buy this for her…something useful for her to have around the house. This 9-piece toolkit, made by Ingco, seems perfect. This is what it has:

  • Philips screwdriver
  • Normal screwdriver
  • Screwdriver test pen (for testing electrical connections)
  • Spanner
  • Hammer
  • Snap-off blade knife
  • tape measure
  • Pliers
  • Needlenose pliers

All of these are nicely packed in a nice, zippered bag and will be very useful for her I feel. get one of these. I guarantee you will find this toolkit very useful indeed.

Water-pump pliers

I found an old pair of rusted pliers just like these in my late father’s tool-box. After soaking it in oil and loosening the rusted bolts and parts, these pliers were usable again. After that, I re-oiled them with a very thin film of oil, put them in a plastic pouch and kept them in my toolkit. So far, I have not only use these pliers to solve just plumbing issues…I have also used them to unscrew tight bottle-caps of food jars and the like. So who said these are meant only for plumbing? You will be amazed what these pliers can do!
