Angular drill adapter

angular_drill_bit

I saw a contractor using this angular drill adapter to screw in some screws in a tight space. I saw some of them advertised online but neither look like this. This would be a very good addition to my toolbox when it comes to drilling screws in tight spaces. Guess I will have to make a trip down to a hardware store and soon to get one of these

Ingco 30 piece screwdriver bit set

I bought this 30 piece screwdriver set to complement the other set of Inco impact bits to use with my impact driver. This set has more bits especially the torx heads that I need when I disassemble some things. I bought the previous set and this together and got quite a substantial amount in savings. I just checked online and the online shop I bought it from now says that it is out of stock. Unlike the impact bits, I do not think these are hardened to take extreme punishment. But for general screwing and unscrewing of screws, this should do the job. I am to have a pretty well-stocked tool set and the purchase of these two sets will have me on my way.

The Extron Tweaker

If you are an AV professional, you know how important it is to have something like this in your toolkit. For the uninitiated, this is an Extron tweaker. Extron is a manufacturer of professional audiovisual equipment and they also manufacture this tweaker, which is another name for a mini screwdriver, for configuring some of their products. I had previously posted a link to another AV manufacturer named Kramer who also make tweakers. Extron normally ship their tweakers with some of their products like switchers. The tweaker has a reversible screw head where it can be changed to what suits you. I have seen some for sale in Ebay and Carousell as well. If you can, and if you know an AV person, ask him or her if they have a spare tweaker to spare. Very useful tool indeed!

Stanley reversible screwdriver

I bought this Stanley reversible screwdriver and I have found it to be a very useful tool indeed. I can switch it from a Phillips head to a normal head just by pulling the bit part out and reversing it in the holder. I keep it in my everyday-use toolkit and it has helped me in a lot of installs. Plus, since it is reversible, you can dismantle it and it fits even smaller tool-kits, like the one i use. It cost me about $8. Would I recommend you, the technical reader, if it is something you should have? Absolutely. It is not expensive and it works

Kramer tweaker

My vendor, Kramer Electronics, gave me this tweaker as a gift. In case you all are wondering what a tweaker is, it is a small screwdriver. These tweakers have interchangeable screwdriver heads and are very useful for us in the AV industry. We use these to fasten cables on Phoenix connectors and the like. It is also used, by me at least, to straighten UTP cables before I crimp them. Extron has a range of tweakers too but this Kramer one is better because it has a magnetic end. I only have two of these in my collection but I have many Extron ones. I hope I do not lose them!
