Dettol Surface Cleaner

We live in a house with two cats. Now cats are not the cleanest of eaters and more often than not, the crumbs that slip off their plate go unnoticed sometimes and attract ants. I cannot use a bug spray as I am afraid that it will poison my cats. So what I use is this surface cleaner by Dettol. Not only does it clean surfaces, it is very effective against ants and other little vermin. After spraying this surface cleaner, I just wipe up the dead ants with some paper towels or tissues and I am done. I might have to get some more of this Dettol Surface Cleaner as I have been using quite a lot of it. Have a bottle in your house now. It will help to disinfect your place and get it free from the virus that causes Covid-19

KDK ceiling fans

I have two of these KDK ceiling fans installed in my apartment. During Chinese New Year last week, I had to clean them and I normally do so with my trusty Philips vacuum cleaner with the attached nozzle. However, the fan in the hall had blades that were blackened with dust. The vacuum could only remove the dust but not the black stains left by the dust. I had to get my ladder out and remove the blades, use some concentrated Dettol house washing liquid with a brush and clean them. After that I installed them back and they look as good as new

I use the fans a lot because the price of electricity has sky-rocketed recently. It sure beats using the air conditioning system in my house because it uses less electricity. These fans are not expensive and are easy to install. Why don’t you readers install them in your houses?

Cleaning between stained bathroom tiles

Have you all ever have mouldy patches between bathroom tiles? I know I do and it does not look nice. I have been taking a wire brush to it but somehow, the Dettol solution interacts with the copper in the wire brush and makes it even worse. So when I saw what a friend had posted, I took a screenshot of her post and I decided that I would try it out in my kitchen. Gotta get some Kao bleach because I personally cannot stand the smell of traditional bleach. Let us see if this works.

Is Dettol now Monking?

Yep. No shit. This is what I saw in a restroom and I was taken aback, to say the least. Another one of those Made In China rip-offs. I wonder why these people go to the extent of ripping off a brand like Dettol. And what is even MORE surprising is that people actually BUY it. Needless to say, I did not use it. But fe forewarned…Monking is fake. Get the one below. That is the real deal.

Always have a bottle of Dettol liquid around the house

When I was a kid, my mum and dad always had a bottle of Dettol antiseptic liquid around the house. I used to watch in fascination when they diluted the liquid, and the liquid turned from a golden colour into a milky liquid, when mixed with water. They only did this to dab on the cuts and bruises I got from playing football, or cycling. Now, more than ever, I use Dettol undiluted when my wife gets scratched by one of our two cats. The undiluted Dettol will sting when it comes into contact with the wound, but you can rest assured that it will kill any germs there. So get a bottle and have one around the house. It is very useful indeed!

Dettol shower foam refill packs

There is a thrift shop of sorts, near my place, selling these Dettol shower foam packs for about $3 each. I promptly bought two of them. The reason I do so is that a brand new bottle of the shower foam costs about $7. What I do is I refill the bottle with the refill packs and I help to save the earth…well…sort of. Better throwing away an empty refill pack than a plastic bottle right? Besides, its cheaper to get the refill packs and refill the bottle. In any case, I love this Dettol shower foam. Works a treat and smells good too!

Dettol hand sanitizer

I was sick with influenza for almost three weeks in December. It was pretty bad and I was told by the doctor that the way it spreads is when you shake hands with people, or touch something that an infected person has had contact with, and when you either rub your eyes, for example, with your infected hands, boom. There you go. You get it. That is why I highly recommend this. I used it all the time. It is especially useful for people in my trade. We handle speakers and cables all the time. Sometimes, after all that work and there is no water or soap available to wash your hands, use this as a last resort. It does not cost much and will save you high medical bills. Keep their smallest bottle in your bag.
