110V step-down transformer for construction sites

Most of the construction sites that I do my work in have huge distros which supply 230 volts. However, for construction sites, 110V is what the workers should be using. And the reason? 110V tools are commonly used on construction sites because their lower voltage presents less risk of electric shock if a tool is damaged or a wire is cut. This is particularly beneficial in construction settings, where damp conditions and rough handling make such accidents more likely. However, I still see 230V tools being used. That is why all construction companies need to get the step-down transformer above. You can plug it into any 230V outlet and the output of this transformer is 110V, as indicated by the yellow Ceeform sockets. Since I do not use my rotary-hammer drill at construction sites, I have no use for something like this. However, construction companies would do well to get a few of these, for the safety of their workers.

“Smart” door locks

One thing I will never understand is why people turn to locks like these. There have been many reported cases of people complaining that their so-called smart locks failed. One complaint was on the batteries in the smart lock had exhausted themselves. As a result, he was locked out of his house. Another one reported that he could not get out of the house because the mortise of this smart lock had jammed. The solenoid or motor that unlocked the gate was not operable at all. Probably had exhausted batteries too!

For me, I would go with the tried and tested. That is right. manual locks. before someone gets his or her panties in a twist by reading this post, let me ask you this. Are you really comfortable about putting yet another variable (and one that can fail) in the safety and security of your house? I certainly would not. Of course. There are pros and cons. But the cons totally outweigh the prose of putting a smart lock on your front gate or front door. My advice once again? Stick with the tried and tested. They just work!
